Expand your LNER West Riding Limited express train with this beautifully detailed Coaches E & F Pack, faithfully reproduced in 1:76 scale OO Gauge. Representing the third articulated coach pair from the prestigious West Riding Limited service, these coaches recreate an important part of one of Britain's most luxurious pre-war express trains.
Introduced in 1937, the West Riding Limited connected London King's Cross with Leeds and Bradford using a streamlined articulated coach formation inspired by the famous Coronation train. The innovative shared-bogie design reduced rolling resistance and delivered a smoother ride for passengers travelling on the East Coast Main Line.
Coaches E and F consisted of a Third Class Open Coach and an additional Third Class coach incorporating a second kitchen area, providing comfortable accommodation and catering services for passengers throughout the journey. Finished in the elegant LNER blue livery, these highly detailed models are ideal for completing a full West Riding Limited train formation behind an iconic LNER A4 Pacific locomotive.
Suitable for collectors and railway enthusiasts aged 14 and up.

Historical Background
The LNER launched the West Riding Limited in September 1937 following the success of the streamlined Coronation service. Operating between London King's Cross and Bradford, the train featured articulated coach pairs that shared a common bogie, reducing friction and improving ride quality. The inaugural service achieved an impressive average speed of 63.3 mph and was hauled by the famous LNER A4 Pacific locomotive No. 4492 Dominion of New Zealand.
Coaches E and F formed part of the eight-coach articulated train set, providing additional Third Class seating and onboard catering facilities for passengers travelling across Yorkshire and the East Coast Main Line.
