A tribute to both innovation and elegance, this Streamlined B17/5 ‘City of London’ OO gauge model captures a unique chapter in Gresley’s engineering legacy. Originally built by Robert Stephenson & Co. in 1937 and inspired by the iconic A4 streamliners, this version of the B17 class was designed for the LNER’s East Anglian passenger services, where full-size Pacifics were too heavy.

Featuring fine detailing, NEM couplings, and a powerful five-pole skew-wound motor, this 1:76 scale model is DCC Ready with a 21-pin socket—perfect for upgrading to HM7000 digital control. A must for collectors and fans of streamlined steam.

Historical Note:
Originally numbered No. 2870 Tottenham Hotspur, the locomotive was renamed City of London in 1937. It retained its streamlined casing until 1951 and was withdrawn from service in 1960.
