One of Sir William Stanier’s most powerful express locomotives, this striking model captures the locomotive as it appeared during the height of the Second World War, complete with its iconic 'bathtub' streamlining.

Expertly reproduced in 1:76 scale, this OO gauge model features fine detailing, sprung metal buffers, and a DCC Ready 21-pin socket, making it an ideal centrepiece for any mid-century steam collection.

Historical Note:
Built at Crewe in September 1943, 6247 entered service in plain black wartime livery and was allocated to Camden shed to work the prestigious London–Glasgow expresses. Its streamlined casing was removed in 1947, and it continued service until withdrawal in June 1963, then numbered 46427 in BR maroon.
