Celebrate one of the world’s most famous locomotives in a rare and distinctive form with Hornby’s LNER A10 103 ‘Flying Scotsman’, part of the WWII 80th Anniversary Collection. Finished in its understated wartime black livery, this 1:76 scale OO gauge model captures the Flying Scotsman during a unique and lesser-seen chapter of its long and celebrated history.

Featuring a diecast running plate for added weight and stability, a flickering firebox for enhanced realism, and a DCC Ready 21-pin socket, this is a standout model for any collector of steam legends or wartime railway history.

Historical Note:
Originally completed in February 1923 and initially numbered 1472, the Flying Scotsman was repainted in plain black in April 1943 as part of LNER’s wartime austerity measures. By 1946 it had been renumbered to 103, and following its rebuild in 1947, the locomotive would continue its journey under British Railways as 60103—a number it still carries today in preservation.
