The 1975 Lemans 24hr race saw a victory for a team that were certainly not the prevent favourites. The Gulf oil liveried Mirage GR8 of Ickx and Bell won by a lap from the Ligier behind them, the third and final win for a Gulf liveried car overall at LeMans and the first of an incredible five wins at Lemans for Derek Bell. For Ickx this was the third of his amazing six wins, making this car a real springboard for some of the most famous LeMans pilots of all time!
