The iconic InterCity 125 was introduced by British Rail in 1976 and quickly became one of the most recognisable high-speed trains in the UK. Powered by the famous Class 43 diesel locomotives, these trains operated services at speeds of up to 125 mph across major routes including the Great Western Main Line and the East Coast Main Line. Built at Crewe by BREL, the Class 43 remains officially the fastest diesel train in the world.

This complete train set includes two Class 43 driving cars – one motorised and one non-powered – both featuring directional lighting that shows white at the front and red at the rear.
