Hornby GWR Class 1000 'County of Merioneth' Train Pack – OO Gauge | DCC Ready

Step back into the golden age of Great Western steam with the Hornby GWR Class 1000 ‘County of Merioneth’ Train Pack – a beautifully assembled tribute to the power and elegance of Hawksworth’s final locomotive design.

The County Class, introduced between 1945 and 1947, was the last of the Great Western Railway's express steam locomotives. Designed by Frederick William Hawksworth, these 4-6-0 mixed-traffic engines served across key passenger and freight routes. No. 1019 ‘County of Merioneth’ was built in April 1946, later upgraded with a double chimney and classified 6MT by BR. It was withdrawn from service in 1963.

This complete train pack features not only the DCC-ready No. 1019 locomotive in rich GWR green but also two finely detailed GWR coaches – a Brake 3rd (No. 4942) and a Composite Coach (No. 6138). It’s a ready-made steam-era consist that looks equally at home in operation or on display.
