HORNBY R40489 RailRoad LNER - Class 800 - 814201 MC Coach

Complete your modern Azuma formation with this newly tooled LNER Class 800 Motor Composite (MC) Coach. Designed to pair perfectly with the LNER Class 800 drive and dummy unit pack, this coach is one of the nine vehicles required to recreate a full-length LNER Class 800 in OO gauge.

Finished in the contemporary LNER livery, this detailed composite coach adds realism and accuracy to any present-day mainline layout. Add this coach individually or combine it with the other available Class 800 coaches to build a longer, more impressive express train.

The real Class 800 units were built by Hitachi Rail for LNER as part of the Government’s Intercity Express Programme (IEP). First constructed at Hitachi’s Newton Aycliffe factory in 2014, these bi-mode trains are designed to operate seamlessly on both electrified and non-electrified routes.
