Designed to represent the iconic ‘Azuma’ trains, this set includes a motorised drive car and a dummy drive car, both fitted with directional lighting for realistic operation.

Based on the real-life Class 800 high-speed bi-mode multiple units, these trains were introduced as part of the UK Government’s Intercity Express Programme. Built by Hitachi Rail for LNER, the Azuma fleet entered service on the East Coast Main Line in 2019, replacing older InterCity 125 and InterCity 225 trains.

This pack is ideal for modellers looking to create an accurate contemporary express train and can be extended with additional Class 800 coaches (sold separately) to form a full five-car or nine-car set.
